About: Aspasia Venieri
Mental Health Counselor CBT
Trauma Therapy Specialist
Aspasia Venieri began her academic journey with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing Management at DEREE – The American College of Greece. She then got a Post- Graduate Diploma in Occupational Psychology at the University of London – Birkbeck, followed by a Master's in Clinical Counseling at the Hellenic American University, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
Before turning to the field of mental health, Aspasia had a successful 20-year career as an executive in marketing, working with both Greek and multinational companies. Her extensive experience in corporate environments offered her deep insights into human behavior, workplace stress, and emotional resilience—knowledge that now enriches her therapeutic approach.
Her passion and clinical focus turned to trauma therapy, and she received advanced training in neuroscience-based methods for trauma healing. She completed a one-year certification with TACT HELLAS and a three-year professional training at the European Academy of Somatic Experiencing, founded by Dr. Peter Levine, earning the title Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner.
Aspasia has also developed a strong specialization in the treatment of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Lifelong learning is a core part of her identity, continuously enhancing her knowledge and therapeutic skills.
Clinical Experience:
She has provided individual and group therapy to elderly clients with dementia and Alzheimer’s at AKTIOS Elderly Care & Alzheimer's Center in Agia Paraskevi. She also facilitated psychoeducational student groups at the Counseling Center of Hellenic American College, focusing on building healthy relationships and addressing toxic or abusive dynamics.
Through ROOTS WELLNESS CENTER, she offered free of charge online psychotherapy for adults across Greece.
